Schedule Requirements

Those who have been involved in theater before know that there certainly is a commitment required for participating in a fully staged musical. Rehearsals are planned for eight weeks starting Tuesday, Sep 26.  Rehearsals will only be held on Tuesday through Friday evenings and on Saturdays. There will be NO rehearsals on Sundays and Mondays.
The number of rehearsals required for attendance will depend on what role a person is given, of course. All conflicts should be noted and discussed with the directors, who will take all conflicts into consideration when setting the rehearsal schedule.

For children 12 and under, we anticipate the following:

  • For the first six weeks we will work to have any week-night rehearsals with children to be completed by 8PM.
  • For the first two weeks most children will rehearse possibly three times a week, learning the music.
We have two directors devoted solely to working with the children. Those rehearsals might run from
    5 - 7 or from 6 - 8PM on weeknights.
  • Starting Nov 11, we will be doing run-throughs, tech rehearsals, and finally dress rehearsals.
These rehearsals will run later into the evening, sometimes as late as 10 or 11PM in the final week.
We will release the children early when possible.

All participants are required to attend full run-through rehearsals starting Tuesday, 11/14.  Please note that tech
and dress rehearsals will occur on Tuesday 11/21, Wednesday 11/22, and Friday 11/24 of Thanksgiving week.

Performances are Nov 25, 30, Dec 1 & 2 evenings, plus a matinee on each Saturday.

We understand that these rehearsals and performances on Thanksgiving week may conflict with usual holiday plans for some families. However, this schedule is needed to present the show on available dates in the Temple Hill Auditorium. Participants should plan to be able to clear their calendar for those dates.

Thank you.

Alan Chipman, Director
