Blood Drive - Roll Up Your Sleeve!
Interfaith Community Blood Drive
Last year a most dramatic, even historic response by the Interfaith
Community resulted in more than 1,700 units of blood donated during the
month of July – a time most difficult to find willing donors.
Individuals all across the Bay Area rolled up their sleeves and gave
blood. Some doing so for the very first time. Why? Because they were
inspired to serve; to do something important; something greater than
themselves in our community; they participated to bring the gift of life
to others. Yet, the deficit of blood supplies remains a significant
challenge. So we're doing it again….only this time bigger and more
ambitious - with more than 80 blood drives currently scheduled from
Ukiah to Monterey – we will be hosting thousands of participants in an
act of unprecedented love, community and service. Together and under
your leadership we'll roll up our sleeves once more to save many more
lives.

Lamb of God Easter Oratorio
The Easter oratorio Lamb of God by Rob Gardner, returns for 2012. It will be presented by the Temple Hill Choir and Symphony, 13 vocal soloists, 1 cello soloist, and 2 narrators, and includes participants from several religious denominations. Four performances are scheduled for the first two weekends in April, including performances at both the Cathedral of Christ the Light of the Catholic Diocese of Oakland and the Oakland Interstake Center Auditorium next to the Oakland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
